Tanker, Engine, & Ladder Assist Sta. 45 on boat fire with extension - 206 N. Canvasback Ct., Clayton DE

At 1529 the CHC was alerted to assist Sta. 45(Clayton) on a working house fire. Station 45 units were initially dispatched to a reported boat on fire at the above address. Command 45 with 45-15 arrived to find a boat on fire with extension into a house. With the upgrade CHC units were added to the response. Tanker 44, E44-3, & L44 responded within minutes. Upon arrival T44 was assigned to set up water supply to Quint 45, and 44-3 was requested to stretch a handline into the residence for any extension and to assist the interior crews with checking for extension in the attic areas. Crews remained on scene and assisted for approximately 15 minutes.After the scene was declared under control by command, all 44 units cleared and returned to quarters. Units responding Tanker 44, E44-3, & Ladder 44. Clayton Fire Chief Robert Davis, 45-15 had incident command.
