Car Fire - 1200 Block of Smyrna Landing Rd.

At 1327 Station 44 units were dispatched to a car fire in the 1200 block of Smyrna Landing Rd. Engine 44-4 arrived to find a Dodge Intrepid with the engine compartment involved. Crews pulled the 1 1/2" foam line from the front of the truck and attacked the fire using foam. Crews also pulled the booster line to knock down a small field and marsh fire that had began to burn. The fire was quickly knocked down, and placed 10-1. Units remained on scene wetting down the car for several more minutes. The CHC responded with 3 units, and had 39 members attend the alarm. Crews were in service for 28 minutes. OIC was Capt. Isaac J. Hankins.
