Ladder & Pump Operations Training & Refresher - Lake Como, Smyrna
Monday, May 20, 2013
On training night this week members of the CHC took Ladder 44, E44-2, & E44-3 out to Lake Como to practice operating the Ladder and the Engines. Crews utilized the engines to practice drafting, supplying water to the waterway for aerial operations on L44, flushing and using dry hydrants, and allowing the newer members practice utilizing handlines. Crews then practiced with L44 to flow water from the waterway, practiced using the controls for the ladder mounted nozzle, and also allowed newer members time to practice climbing and learning more about the Ladder and its operations. About 25 members were on hand during the training.
